Introduction to the church of Christ INTRO-COC 101 & 102.
BIBLE STUDY GUIDE FOR NEW CONVERTS
New Christians are required to study
the word (daily) in order to grow and mature into strong Christians.
New Christians must not remain totally ignorant of what the Lord wants
them to do and become! The Apostle Paul says all Christians must
study!
(2 Tim. 2:15)

Tongue Speaking Clarifications.
"The
Pentecostal Church, Inc., traces its beginning to New Years Eve, 1899.
In Topeka, Kansas, a band of earnest hungry-hearted Christian people,
being hungry for more of God, called a fast that lasted twenty-one days.
During this time they prayed earnestly for a great outpouring of the
Holy Spirit, which to their joyful surprise came at midnight on New
Years Eve, 1899. Mighty manifestations were witnessed in the meeting
soon after midnight, and people were heard speaking in other languages
as the Holy Spirit gave them utterance in the same manner as the 120
received it on the Day of Pentecost, when the multitudes came together
and they were understood to speak in the different languages of the
earth ... "

Denominationalism vs. The Bible
Roman Catholicism
Brief History
The first century church was established
by Christ. It remained true as a whole, but even in early times some
were departing from the faith (1 Tim. 4:1-3). The form of church
government was gradually changed by some men who desired preeminence in
the churches. These men soon began to regard themselves as successors to
the apostles. In 325 A.D., Constantine recognized the Council of Nicea
as the first official church law-making assembly. He made Christianity
the national religion of the Roman Empire and stopped all persecution
against Christians. There were many changes in organization, worship,
moral standards, name, etc., brought about by the various councils. In
608, Boniface proclaimed himself the "universal bishop" or "papa",
setting the precedent for all subsequent popes, an office unknown prior
to that time. The Council of 1870 (Vatican Council) proclaimed the
doctrine of papal infallibility, culminating the authority claims for
the traditions of the hierarchy, termed by Jesus as "doctrines and
commandments of men" (Mat. 15:7-9).

Metro East Christian Care Academy – Early Learning Center
Vision: Provide an IVY LEAGUE
academic start for our students for Ph.D. success into adulthood.
Mission: The Washington Addition
Neighborhood in Jackson Mississippi has been a neglected area in many
aspects, one being Early Learning opportunities for children. We firmly
believe by putting the opportunity and expectation of high academic
excellence in the minds and hearts of the upcoming generation, it will
create a change and transform the entire community. We want to expose
students to Science, Math, Communication and Foreign Languages in the
early developmental stages. This will set the ground work for success in
elementary and advanced education.
